The Hampton Roads African American Sports Hall of Fame was created in
1995 and is a non-profit organization established to pay tribute to
individuals who have exhibited outstanding athletic achievements.
We honor the athletes and sports figures who have held an historical
role in sports and social development. The heroes that have been inducted
into HRAASHF have encouraged our youth to strive for excellence, not only
in their athletic development but also in their academic and social
development skills.
The Hampton Roads African American Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2008 Induction Class. Deadline for all nominations is April 21, 2008. For more information please click on the Nominate an Athlete tab to the left.
