Officers of the Hampton Roads African American Sports Hall of Fame

Chairman: William "Dick" Price
Vice Chairman: E. Quinton Gordon

E. Quinton Gordon, Vice President of the Hampton Roads African-American Sports Hall of Fame is a consultant to Neighborhood Partners, L.L.C. He has a unique combination of federal government and diverse industry experience. His involvement in community and economic development affairs has led him to work extensively with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to improve employment, housing, and educational opportunities for young adults. With more than 25 years of management consulting and general management experience, Mr. Gordon has been instrumental in assisting corporations and clients in developing operational strategies, improving operational efficiency, and in initiating and coping with organizational change. As president of his own management consulting firm, Mr. Gordon has advised officers and senior level managers of publicly held and family owned businesses in transition. Mr. Gordon played a leadership role for eight years with two companies as Vice President Operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for day-to-day operations as well as overall direction of corporate planning and organizational development activities. He guided cross functional teams in the on-track achievement of productivity improvement, cost, and profit goals. Mr. Gordon was a charter member of the federal government's Senior Executive Service. At the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, he served as Director, Office of Policy Development and Evaluation and as Director, Office of Housing Operations & Field Monitoring. In the latter capacity, he developed performance standards and management control systems to project and monitor the efficient delivery of housing programs and services. Mr. Gordon earned a master's degree in management science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow. He also earned a master's degree in sociology at The Catholic University of America and a bachelor's degree in physics at Franklin and Marshall College.
President: Larry Bellamy

Larry Bellamy, is a native of Norfolk Virginia and has been a member of the Hampton Roads African-American Sports Hall of Fame since 1996. Larry was a standout athlete in the Hampton Roads area during the mid 1970's. In 1978 he signed a three year contract with the New York Jets of the National Football League as a defensive lineman under Head Football Coach Walt Michaels. He is currently employed with the City of Norfolk as a Facility Manager with the Department of Neighborhood Preservation and has served in the capacity of Assistant Coordinator of The Office of Drug Awareness, The Mayors Task Force on Drugs and served six years as Superintendent of Recreation for the Department of Neighborhood and Leisure Services. Larry has been married to his lovely wife, Teresa, for 22 years, and they will be celebrating their 23rd anniversary this November. They have a daughter who happens to be a (Rottweiler) and goes by the name of Daisy. Larry swears that Teresa has taught Daisy how to hide the TV remote upon his arrival home from work so that they can continue to watch the Soaps (smile). Larry is a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Norfolk and serves on the Trustee Board.
